Happy 7/7, Scribe fans! Susannah here. Today is a special day for the 7 Scribes, so I think it’s only fitting that I make it a special day for our fans, too. Check the end of this post for details. No cheating! Please read the whole post 🙂
The number 7 is generally considered lucky. According to folklore, the seventh son of a seventh son has healing powers. The seventh daughter of a seventh daughter has the gift of second sight. (In addition to some really big family reunions).
As for me, personally, the number 7 is also significant. My dad, who was probably the world’s biggest Yankees fan, was also probably the world’s biggest Mickey Mantle fan. Dad always wore #7 on his softball jerseys in Mickey’s honor. I grew up at #77 Grove Street. I have 3 sisters and a brother, so adding in my parents I come from a family of 7. It seems only fitting that I am now part of the amazing group known as the 7 Scribes.
